Victor Chamberlain was elected in 2010 after gaining the Chorlton seat from Labour. He was born and brought up in Chorlton, where he has been an active member of the community. He was baptised and confirmed in St John's Church and is still an active parishioner there. He is a member of the Chorlton Civic Society and Busy Bee Toyshop Co-op and has been involved in the Chorltonville residents committee. As a local Lib Dem campaigner he is working hard to support Chorlton's independent shops, to stop the development of Chorlton Meadows, to promote environmental issues and to keep Chorlton clean and tidy.
