"Labour need to re-think the mistakes of the past 13 years and get out of this immature opposition mentality that they appear to be so comfortable in now"
Withington Liberal Democrat MP John Leech is tonight speaking at the Fabian Society's Fringe Event entitled "Is the Lib/Lab coalition Gone Forever?"
John Leech retained his seat and tripled his majority this May in Manchester Withington following a hard fought campaign. The seat was Labour's number one target in the North West for Labour.
The panel along with John are Dr. Evan Harris (former MP Oxford West & Abingdon), Ken Livingstone (former Mayor of London), David Blunkett (MP for Sheffield Brightside and Hillsborough) and will be chaired by Polly Toynbee (Guardian columnist).
The fringe event will take place on Monday 27th September from 6pm - 7.30pm in the Conference Hall of Manchester Town Hall and is open to all members of the public.
John Leech said "The door is not shut on the Liberal Democrat and Labour parties working together. Labour need to re-think the mistakes they made over the last thirteen years and get out of this immature opposition mentality that they appear to be so comfortable in now".
