Lib Dems Supported Manchester LGBT Pride 2009
Liberal Democrats from across Greater Manchester will be supporting Manchester LGBT Pride on the August Bank Holiday weekend. Manchester Pride is an annual highlight for LGBT people across the country, with tens of thousands visiting the City.
The theme for this year's Parade is "Through the Decades", and we will be marching proudly, reminding people of the unparalleled longstanding commitment by Liberal Democrats to equality for lesbian, gay, bi and trans people.
We will have a stall in the Lifestyle Expo throughout the weekend. You can join the Lib Dems and our LGBT wing there, and sign our petition in favour of fully equal marriage. You can find more information about what we do locally and on LGBT issues nationwide. Our popular "I'm Liberal!" stickers will be making a return.
Lib Dems wishing to join us on the parade or volunteer to help out on the stall for an hour or two should contact Manchester Gorton chair Dave Page on dave.page@valueofnothing.org.uk.
