Lib Dem Leader Simon Ashley is amazed Labour won't spend the money they get
With all the talks of government cuts, you would of thought that the Labour run Manchester Council would be making absolutely certain that every penny was being spent up.
At last week's meeting of the Executive, it was reported that, at the end of the financial year 2009/10, the Council had left over £83million un-spent of its capital budget, and £2.7m underspend on its Revenue budget.
Manchester Lib Dem leader Simon Ashley said,
"I am amazed that Labour Councillors can on one hand moan about cuts they always knew were coming, and then on the other don't bother spending the money they get."
