On Friday November 14th, local Lib Dem MP John Leech will be joining MPs across the country in being shadowed by 22 year old Themba Maphosa, a Young Ambassador from The Prince's Trust as part of their annual Youth Week.

The Young Ambassador will have the opportunity to discuss with John Leech their concerns and ideas about the negative portrayal of young people in the media, as well as accompanying him to all his constituency appointments.

The initiative aims to highlight the important contributions that young people make to their communities, in light of a recent report showing that 60% of media coverage of young people is negative, as well as encouraging more people to get involved with The Prince's Trust.

John says 'I look forward to meeting with Themba in recognition of all the vital work that The Prince's Trust does.

'I think it's important to look beyond the bad press that young people in this country often get, and focus on the contributions they make instead.'

1) The Prince's Trust 'Youth Week' will run from Saturday 15th - Friday 21st November. For more information, go to http://www.princes-trust.org.uk/main%20site%20v2/about%20us/youth%20week.asp
