What Will Manchester's Incompetent Labour Council Do Next? asks Cllr John Grant After They Painted Double Yellow Lines in a Parking Bay!
"The appearance of double yellow lines over the weekend in a parking bay near shops in Whalley Range has produced Manchester's first "No Parking" parking bay", says Liberal Democrat Councillor John Grant.
Overnight new double yellow lines have appeared on Clarendon Road, Whalley Range, opposite the shops in a parking bay. Local traders were horrified that this parking space for their customers was being removed.
Whalley Range Lib Dem Councillor John Grant said:
"We assume this a mistake by an overenthusiastic yellow line painter. We have contacted council officers and hope to see these lines removed as soon as possible. I can see the funny side of it but I am not surprised that the local shopkeepers aren't sharing the joke."
